The Barrington Area Council of Governments is a member of the Northwest Water Supply Planning Area (NWPA). This group is a joint effort of regional COGs and counties that rely mostly on ground and surface water supplies. BACOG has appointed Dr. Kurt O. Thomsen to serve on the NWPA "Technical Advisory Committee".
The BACOG Water Resources Committee is a
group of local officials, staff, community members, and professionals committed
to the understanding and planning for local groundwater resources.
