Great Resources

BACOG is proud to partner with WaterSense, a program by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency seeking to protect the future of our nation's water supply by offering people a simple way to use less water with water-efficient products, new homes, and services.

The WaterSense program serves to help consumers make smarter water choices.  WaterSense labeled products and services are at least 20% more efficient than there regular counterpart, but do not sacrifice any performance.  Search for WaterSense labeled products here.

What Our Water’s Worth

Answer: “Our Water is Worth More Than We Think” The campaign What Our Water’s Worth (WOWW) is working to raise awareness about the value of water in northwestern Illinois and northwestern Indiana.  Wondering where your water comes from, their website has resources to help you find out.  Once you do, they also have information about your source and ways to preserve and protect it, fresh water is not infinite!  The BACOG area relies almost solely on the shallow aquifer system, read WOWW’s great information on shallow aquifers here.
